Meet Your Speaker - Dr. Syreeta Bond

Today we are highlighting an amazing woman in project management. Dr. Syreeta Bond will be sure to get you in high gear at the upcoming Women of Project Management Conference. Her energy, passion and ability to keep it all the way real is such a breath of fresh air. If you had the chance to attend the September member check-in - you already know. And that was just a sneak peak of what you can expect at the conference.

Dr. Syreeta Bond is an international project management professional who works with top-of-the-line organizations such as Apple, Inc. and Barclays Bank. She has also served on the Board of Directors as the VP of Technology for the PMI Los Angeles Chapter and as Assistant VP of Marketing for the PMI UAE Chapter in Dubai, UAE.

What I am most proud of in my career is my consistency in leveling up. Sure, there were times where I put myself in the most challenging positions, which can sometimes be stressful and hard to manage, but throughout it all, I continued to succeed and grow.
— Dr. Syreeta Bond

Leveling up is exactly what she did. Sis did not come to play with her education or career. She started out with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design & Retail Management from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Her online boutique, Lipstick Killers Collection features beautiful, certified carbon neutral accessories and clothing.

She went on to obtain her Masters of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and her Doctorate of Business Administration from Walden University. Dr. Syreeta Bond also has a PMP global certification from the Project Management Institute.

She is the Founder & Creator of Edgy Opulence Lifestyle Branding Co. - a consulting agency that caters to current and future project managers becoming their authentic selves in every facet of their life as well as helping businesses succeed in their global projects.

What’s super impressive is that she is a published scholar of International Project Strategies to Reduce the Negative Impact on Triple Constraints.

Fun Fact:

I am a beast at nunchakus. My father was a martial arts teacher years ago when we were just babies and as we grew older, he showed us, with caution, his swords, stars, and nunchakus. I secretly began practicing with them and grew very good at it. One day, he saw me with them and cried tears of joy. He had no idea that I was so good! I lost them in my travels abroad but when I returned to the states and moved to LA, my brother actually packed them in one of my bins that had been sitting in a storage unit for 3 years. I could not believe my eyes, I actually had them! Although I was rusty, I started using them again and just like riding a bike, I realized I never lost the twirl.
