PMI is the leading professional association for project management worldwide! Sierra Hampton-Simmons is the VP of Products at PMI and will be joining our all-star list of speakers! What a great way to bring in the first annual Women of Project Management conference!
Sierra Hampton Simmons has over two decades of experience in digital product development and management.
Her work at PMI includes managing the entire portfolio of projects including certifications like the Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate. She’s also responsible for online learning, events, standards, and publications!
Women of Project Management Speaker Sierra Hampton-Simmons
Prior to working with PMI, Sierra worked with Cisco Systems, Inc. directing daily operations for the global development team and creating the leading certification programs including the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Sierra began her career working at Citrix Education where she managed a team in design and development of the most advanced curricula and certifications for their global programs. Sierra also served as the President of the Performance Testing Council for three years after being an active member of their Board of Directors.
Sierra completed her undergrad at Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Japanese and International Business. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida.
We are extremely excited that Sierra will be attending and speaking at our first annual conference representing the Project Management Insitute!
She is most proud of her work in transforming established projects to keep up with the ever-evolving digital era. This includes simulations, emulations, and animations. She has led innovations that include further development of the project management professional certificate as well as PMI Sturdy Hall.
Come prepared to be inspired and open to networking with all of the amazing women that will in the room. This is your seat at the table!
Many of the women attending the conference are Project Management Professional (PMP) certified or currently preparing to sit for the exam. Some are already working as project managers or looking for a way to break into project management. Either way, this is a great opportunity to hear firsthand from a relatable and reliable source.
