Asya Watkins, MBA, 6σGB, PMP®, is the Founder and CEO of Women Of Project Management, an organization dedicated to supporting and amplifying the voices of Black women in the project management industry. With over 20 years of experience in project management, Asya has worked with top brands such as CVS/Caremark, Optum, United Healthcare, & Walgreens where she helped create their first women's group at their corporate offices.

In 2015, recognizing the lack of representation and support for Black women in the field, Asya launched Women Of Project Management. This global community has since become the #1 Premiere professional network for Black women, providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities to excel in their careers. Her leadership and vision have garnered attention in prominent publications, including multiple features in Forbes, Black Enterprise, & Essence that spotlight the organization's pivotal role in championing diversity and inclusion within the industry.

Asya is not only a successful entrepreneur but also a sought-after speaker, having delivered keynote speeches at major companies including Apple, Microsoft, Mastercard, and the Project Management Institute.

Additionally, Asya serves on the board of Western Governors University, leveraging her industry experience to create undergraduate and graduate Project Management programs, laying the groundwork for bringing more skilled project managers into the industry.

As a well-respected LinkedIn Learning Instructor, Asya educates and empowers professionals in leadership roles within companies. She is also recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice in Project Management.

Asya earned her undergraduate degree from the esteemed HBCU Xavier University in New Orleans and completed her MBA at National University. She is a devoted wife, proud Boy-Mom, and the loving fur mom to their dog, affectionately named Jake from State Farm.
