Women of Project Management Speaker, Edi Hayes

At Her Career Café, Edi offers services from cover letter and resume revamp, LinkedIn optimization, negotiation strategy and much more! The products and workshops offered are also great tools to help you get started on your journey.

Many of the ladies inside of the Women of Project Management membership can attest to how much Edi has helped them realize the value they bring to the workforce. Sometimes we just don’t see our greatness and aren’t able to put it on paper or verbalize it. That’s why career coaches are necessary.

Attending the Women of Project Management conference means getting the inside scoop on all things career planning with Edi Hayes. She’s more than willing to share her expertise as working with minorities throughout her Human Resource and Coaching career is one thing she is most proud of.

I can see how rewarding it must feel to serve your community in such an impactful way. Oftentimes we miss opportunities simply because we don’t know what it takes to move past the current situation. That’s why it’s so important to have solid representation in all facets of corporate america. Especially someone in human resources who understands the needs of the community and the business and can connect the dots where they align.

It’s also really dope that a part of Edi’s focus is to help job-seekers gain fulfilling employment - key word here is fulfilling. Let’s be honest, earning a decent living is top priority but doing work that you actually enjoy is unmatched. I think this is really important for everyone to understand on their search.

In the video below, Edi wants the job seeker to be clear on what her purpose is. Making sure that she emphasizes that purpose on her resume. This is a great step in ensuring a fulfilling career.
