Meet Your WOPM® Conference Speaker Stella Ihenacho

Women of Project Management’s first annual Conference is right around the corner! I hope you are as excited as I am. We have completely sold out of tickets but don’t worry… if you weren’t able to secure your spot this year, we’ll be doing it all over again next year. This year’s lineup of events and speakers have been carefully selected to create an incredibly impactful experience for this community!

Speaker Stella Ihenacho will be gracing the Women of Project Management Conference stage on November 12th! She’s a business owner and an expert in agile project management. Stella is the Co-Founder and Chief Operations Officer of NSTAR Technologies, a continuing education provider based in Atlanta, GA.

Women of Project Management Conference Speaker Stella Ihenacho MBA, CSM®, PSM™ II, ICP-ACC

NSTAR Technologies was founded to coach professionals on how to do more and earn more in their careers. Many professionals get to a place in their careers where they feel plateaued with little to no signs of growth. This usually happens when they’ve mastered their role and desire a more challenging position. Becoming a student with NSTAR Technologies gives individuals the opportunity to develop skills to transition into a higher-impact role. And many times, these students are placed in Fortune 500 companies!

What I love most about our conference speakers including Stella, is their passion for giving back.

Stella’s purpose in business is to help close the pay and knowledge gap in our community. She does this by teaching the scrum methodology in a comprehensive course. Not only does she prep students to become Scrum Masters, but she also teaches new Scrum Masters how to be successful in their roles. It’s just as important to get coaching as a newbie while settling into a position. Having a coach, learning best practices, and time management techniques can set you up to be really successful in this new journey.

Stella also manages the Continuous Improvement Team at Red Hat. They are a company that provides IT solutions to businesses worldwide. She is a founding member of the Women In Software Engineering and Women In Tech at Red Hat.

Her accomplishments don’t end there.

Stella is an amazing leader and powerhouse helping to empower women through her community, Women Doing it Afraid. This community was created to help women defeat their fears through education. What better way to show fearlessness than by educating and empowering yourself? At least then you become equipped to face whatever challenges may come with your new venture.

Next weekend, Stella will be taking us down the certification road from getting certified to what to expect afterward.

She’s a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), and an ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)! Getting certified is definitely a task; but, no one really talks about what happens next. It’s not always easy to land your dream position after obtaining a certification. There are many tips and tricks to know to actually land a position. If you will be in attendance, be sure to take in all the gems that will be dropped during this session.
