We are one week closer to The Women of Project Management® Conference! This event has been carefully curated to provide the most impactful experience to our community. Speakers Marquise Vilsaint and Ashima Sharma are two women that have been extremely successful in their careers and they are excited to share their expertise at the conference. 

Marquise Vilsaint, MBA, PMP® has made it her mission to help women break into project management. She also uses her knowledge to help organizations find clarity in the midst of chaos. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Marquise is also a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Scrum Master. 

With over 10 years of experience in project management, Marquise has worked in many industries including travel, staffing, and local government. She works as a Program Development Strategist and an Adjunct Professor teaching graduate business courses. 

Marquise also volunteers with a really dope organization! The Prosp(a)rity Project is a financial literacy and career development program dedicated to supporting Black women get out of student loan debt. Marquise’s role as a Programming Lead is to help develop and drive initiatives to help women achieve financial freedom and success. I love it, this is such a great avenue to give back in a major way. Kudos to you Marquise!

Our next speaker, Ashima is the founder and CEO of Dreami, a mentorship platform dedicated to making mentorship and sponsorship scalable and accessible. She created this platform after recognizing the lack of support in her chemical engineering career. She later transitioned into tech working for companies like Zendesk and Cisco to name a few. She excelled quickly in her career and was recognized by Techstars, Nasdaq Milestone Makers, Microsoft's M12 SaaS launch lab, Antler VC, and Girls in Tech for her work with Dreami.

We’re so hyped about our mentorship speed-dating exercise at the Women of Project Management Conference! This effort will be led by Ashima and the Women of Project Management Community Manager, Bridget. How exciting! Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with mentors and mentees who are looking for and can provide support to the community. We all know and understand the importance of having a mentor while navigating career changes and elevations. It makes a world of difference! 

I asked Ashima what she was most proud of in her career - she explained that she is proud that she is challenging her limits and realizing she wants to be on a mission to become limitless. This is such an admirable characteristic; it’s also a great way to quickly learn and grow.
